If a product publishes its own privacy notice that conflicts with this document for that product only, that product notice applies to that product.
3. Autoom Studio websites and business services
3.1 Information we may collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may process:
- Identity and contact details (name, email, phone, company, address)
- Messages you send us (enquiries, support, proposals)
- Contract, billing, and project information needed to deliver services
- Technical data from website visits (IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed), where our hosting or analytics tools collect them
- Information from clients, affiliates, suppliers, and other organisations we work with in the course of business
3.2 How we use it
We use this information to:
- Respond to enquiries and provide services
- Manage contracts, invoices, and project delivery
- Improve our websites and communications
- Comply with law and protect our rights
3.3 Legal bases (where applicable)
Where data-protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on one or more of: performance of a contract, legitimate interests (operating and improving our business in a way that does not override your rights), consent (where we ask for it), and legal obligation.
4. MP3 Studio (Android app)
MP3 Studio is designed so that your music library stays on your phone. The app has no ads.
4.1 Data that stays on your device
We do not upload your music files, playlists, vocal stems, clips, or sing-along recordings to our servers. Those stay on your device (and in Android storage you control), unless you choose to share them yourself outside the app.
4.2 Account and server data
MP3 Studio requires a Google sign-in. When you sign in, we store on our servers information needed to run your account, including:
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google account name, email, and profile photo | Account identity and Profile display |
| Display name (if you edit it) | Shown in the app |
| Plan and entitlement status (Free, Trial, Pro) | Feature access |
| Feature usage related to your plan (for example AI Vocal Separator weekly usage) | Fair use and plan limits |
| Indian mobile number (when you provide it at checkout) | Required by our payment provider for PayU checkout |
| Payment and subscription records | See section 4.4 |
| Device identifier used only for one-trial-per-device checks | Prevent abuse of the free trial |
We also keep operational logs needed for security, abuse prevention, and billing reliability.
4.3 Permissions on your phone
- Internet — sign-in, plan status, payments, and related sync.
- Microphone — used only when you record a sing-along. Audio from the microphone is processed on your device for that feature and is not uploaded by us as part of normal use.
- Notifications — playback controls and optional reminders (for example admin activity for authorised staff).
- Media / storage access — to find and play audio already on your device.
4.4 Payments (PayU)
Paid Pro subscriptions are processed by PayU. When you pay:
- Checkout opens on PayU’s pages (or equivalent PayU-hosted flow).
- We do not store your full card number, UPI PIN, or bank password.
- We store payment references, amounts, status, method name (as reported by PayU), mandate/autopay references, and related billing events so we can confirm Pro access, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and disputes.
PayU’s own privacy policy applies to data you submit on PayU’s pages.
4.5 What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not show third-party advertising in MP3 Studio.
- We do not use your music library for advertising profiles.
4.6 Account deletion
You can delete your account in the app (Profile › Edit › Delete account). Deletion removes your account and associated plan/trial/usage data from our systems as described in the app. Music, playlists, stems, and recordings on your phone are not removed by account deletion. Payment records may be retained in anonymised or de-identified form where needed for accounting, fraud prevention, or law. If you have active autopay, we attempt to cancel it with PayU before deletion completes.
5. Sharing of information
We share personal information only as needed with:
- Google — authentication (Sign in with Google)
- Our hosting and backend providers (including Supabase infrastructure we use to run accounts and billing APIs)
- PayU — payment processing
- Professional advisers and authorities when required by law or to protect rights
- Service providers who help us operate websites or deliver contracted business services, under appropriate confidentiality
We do not sell personal data.
6. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including:
- Account data while your account exists, and for a limited period afterwards for security and dispute handling
- Payment and tax-related records for periods required by Indian law and payment-provider rules
- Business project records for the life of the engagement and a reasonable period afterwards
When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it where practicable.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted session storage on the device for MP3 Studio sign-in, TLS for network traffic, and access controls on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Your rights
Subject to the laws of your country, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion (including via in-app account deletion for MP3 Studio)
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Data portability, where applicable
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.
9. Children
Our websites, business services, and MP3 Studio are not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
10. International transfers
We are based in India. Your information may be processed in India and in other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we take steps to protect transfers in line with applicable law.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of our websites or MP3 Studio after an update means you accept the revised policy, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
